Product Overview
The JIS F 2025 Type B cable clench is a fixed anchor-chain end securing device installed inside the chain locker. Its welded steel body and transverse pin retain the inboard end, or bitter end, of the anchor chain so that the chain is positively connected to the vessel structure during normal anchor handling and stowage.
Type B is the fixed configuration in JIS F 2025 and should be distinguished from the detachable Type A arrangement. It is not a deck mooring fitting, chain stopper, lifting point, or automatically quick-releasing abandonment device. Selection should be based on the applicable anchor-chain nominal diameter, the controlled standard edition or approved drawing, installation access, weld interface, surrounding chain-locker structure, coating system, and project inspection requirements.
