Product Description
Davit for Pneumatic Rubber Fender, Hydraulic Fender Crane
Description:
The Fender Crane is designed for the safe and efficient handling of fenders during deployment and retrieval, providing a secure storage location on board ships. Such davit for pneumatic rubber fender consists of two arms, each supported by a base, a hydraulic power unit, and two hydraulic operation winches (one for each crane arm).
We manufacture and supply fender cranes compliant with ISO 17357-1:2014 standards or customized to specific requirements. The primary advantages of our fender cranes include their simple structure, ease of operation, reduced maintenance costs, and easy installation, making them ideal for both retrofitting onto existing vessels and installation on new ships with limited deck space. They also allow for remote deployment and retrieval of fenders, creating a safer working environment for ship crews.
For FSRUs (Floating Storage and Regasification Units), our fender cranes enable the storage of fenders on board and their deployment as needed using the crane arms, eliminating the need for permanent storage in water or relying on local suppliers to transport equipment to the site. This functionality extends to other floating production and storage units such as FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas facilities) and FSOs (Floating Storage and Offloading units). Fender cranes are unquestionably the safest and most efficient way to handle large fenders during ship-to-ship operations.
Product Features:
- Efficiency: Most effective method for handling fenders.
- Crew Safety: Safe handling and storage of fenders.
- Maintenance: Minimized to prolong fender lifespan.
- Various designs and sizes of fender cranes are available, equipped with suitable hydraulic power units.
Main Technical Specifications:
- Main Structure:The basic structure consists of a base, main arms, electrical hydraulic control system, brackets, shock absorbers, hooks, and rigging.
- Pneumatic rubber fender cranes save significant time for ship owners/operators in preparing vessels for ship-to-ship operations. Besides reducing operation time and costs, pneumatic rubber fender cranes also create a safer working environment for crews.
- These are operated using an electrically controlled hydraulic system. The lifting capacity of the crane is twice the weight of the fender.
- The hydraulic system employs stainless steel hydraulic pipes and clamp-type connections, reducing structural volume and improving sealing and anti-corrosion effects.
- Two control options are available for the control system: 1. Control box button control, 2. Remote control with emergency button control.
- Fender cranes are available for fender sizes ranging from Ø1500x3000mm to Ø4500x9000mm.
- The design of these fender cranes enables launching and retrieval of fenders even in adverse and severe weather conditions.
- The crane consists of crane arms, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units (including electric motors), control consoles, winches, and pivot bases welded to the deck.
- The crane arm structure is a fully enclosed hollow box-type structure with a variable range support bearing at the lower end.
- Lifting, lowering, and slewing are controlled hydraulically through on-site or remote-control console-operated valve levers.
- The winch is equipped with a fail-safe brake, installed inside the gearbox along with reduction gears.
- All gears inside the winch are fully enclosed and operate in an oil bath.
- All pulleys are fitted with roller bearings and lubricated via oil nozzles.
- A clamping device is provided to prevent crane movement during non-operation due to ship pitch and roll
